Maddie's dress

As promised, here is the end result of the Maddie's dress pattern which I bought from YouCanMakeThis.com

Look at my hand made buttons. Thanks to my new covered buttons tool!! It was a bit challenging for me to sew this dress as the fabric are a combination of satin and chiffon. But I satisfied when I look at the happy face of Sophia when wearing it.

Universal Covered Button Tool

Yippie!! Finally i got my universal covered button tool. Thanks to Zila Kasim ..It so hard to get this thing at the shops around my area. Luckily i found zila's blog and straight away sms her. Yesterday I bought a Maddie's dress from YouCanMakeThis website. They provided the pattern and tutorial within a PDF file. I had printed and cut out the pattern last night and will try to complete attaching each part together by today. I'm gonna use my very own version of covered button to attach to my new dress project.

Fabric covered buttons which i bought from DAISO store. I haven't got a chance to make my own covered button yet. Will post the entry about it once i received the tool that i bought online within a few days. Sorry the images are a bit unclear as i used my h/phone's camera.

My Inspiration

You know what is one of the factors why i love sewing? Actually I'm inspired by this lady Dana Made It. Her tutorials are very detail and she made sewing easy.

My First Entry

Since this is my first entry I believe there is nothing much I'm gonna share with readers. However just wanted to let everyone knows that lately it seems like I love sewing more than cooking even sewing is still new to me rather than cooking. To tell u the truth I'm a big fan of both areas. And now sewing comes 1st and who knows I can make extra money with my new hobbies!! caiyok!! I'll post more on my new hobbies later when i've got more time. stay tune!
